Program Description

OCCC is dedicated to providing excellence in Christian counseling and psychological services. Our ministry provides educational programs to address the emotional, relational, and spiritual needs of persons in the Church and in the Community. Our programs are based on Christian values and offered to all regardless of religious affiliation. Our counseling and psychological services are consistent with Christian beliefs and values, and are offered on a fee-for-service basis for individuals, couples, and families.

In addition to providing counseling and psychological services, trainees will develop, write, and present various areas of interest or expertise in didactic seminars in service to the Church and to the Community.

Trainees will receive weekly individual and group supervision, and participate in a formal program of training seminars (e.g., law and ethics, working with couples, domestic violence, EFT, CBT).

Trainees will earn SPE hours for preparation for the State of California licensure exams (EPPP, CPSE), as well as the use of our study materials.

Although it is not required, trainees are encouraged to participate in research and to present on their findings in their area of specialty for the edification of the organization and for professional development purposes.
